The website www.rssproject.nl
is managed by
Arno Verweij and hosted by
Greenhost in the Netherlands.
The website uses a secure connection, doesn't use cookies, and doesn't load
externally hosted files.
When you visit the website, your browser includes your IP address in each
request to the server of the website. The IP address is personal data that is
then used in the following ways:
- The server processes the browser request with the IP address and sends its
response to that IP address, which is necessary to handle that request and to
serve you the website (legitimate interest).
- The server keeps the IP address in memory to protect itself against digital
attacks, which is important for a stable and accessible website, while it has
practically no impact for you as visitor because of the very short retention
period of 60 seconds (legitimate interest).
- The server stores the IP address in a daily access log and sometimes also
in a daily error log, which is important to identify and troubleshoot issues
in order to maintain a functional website, while it has limited impact for you
as visitor because of the short retention period of 7 days (after
3 of these 7 days only Greenhost has access; plus 2 months in system
backups) (legitimate interest).
- The software of AWStats processes
the IP addresses from the daily access logs to create monthly visitor
statistics, which is important to evaluate the website, while it has limited
impact for you as visitor because the IP addresses of the top 100 visitors are
partially anonymized by removing the second half of each IP address and the IP
addresses of all other visitors are removed entirely, both at the beginning of
the next month (plus 2 months in system backups) (legitimate interest).
IP addresses are not shared with others, except in case of abuse, emergency,
or legal obligation. For these exceptions a manual copy of a log file may be
made and the related IP addresses may be shared with others to resolve that
specific issue.
